About NCYRA

The North Carolina Youth Rodeo Association is a vision of a community of folks who want to see the western heritage live on in our youth today and tomorrow.  The NCYRA was formed with intentions of being a model association that offers the privilege of family bonding; while teaching life lessons of caring for livestock, and the importance of agriculture to sustain the sport of rodeo.

Our events include Bucking ponies, Mutton Bustin, Calf Riding, Jr. Bull Riding, Sr. Bull Riding, Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Goat Tying, Cowboy Goat Tying, Chute Doggin, Bareback Riding, Saddle Bronc, Team Roping, Calf Roping, and Breakaway Roping.  Our contestant’s ages range up to the age of 19.
